- The following walkthrough guides you directly through Gordon Freeman's newest adventure, Half Life 2: Episode One. It details all steps you have to take in order to complete the game, using both text and screenshots to help you. Additionally, we included a walkthrough to a short episode named Lost Coast, released by Valve a few months ago. It's not long nor tough, but if you have any problems completing it, here we come to save the day.
- Anyway, that about explains the guide. So wake up, Mr. Freeman, and read the walkthrough. Plot 3.0.0.0 Half-Life 2: Lost Coast takes place between the chapters of Highway 17 and Sandtraps in Half-Life 2. From what I can tell, the story of Lost Coast is canon to the overall storyline.

Half-Life 2: Episode One (originally Half-Life 2: Aftermath) is the first in a series of three episodes charting the aftermath of the events in Half-Life 2. Episode One takes place in and around City 17, and it's only at the end of the episode where you finally leave City 17 for the first time; a journey which continues in Half-Life 2: Episode Two.
Episode One was released with Half-Life Deathmatch: Source, and is typically bundled with Half-Life 2: Deathmatch. It's also available as part of The Orange Box for Windows, Steam, Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3, and also as a standalone release for Windows and Steam.
