Set in Halls Gap, 43 km from Ararat, Grampians Pioneer Cottages offers a garden and free WiFi.
Each unit is fitted with a terrace, a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, a fireplace, a seating area with a sofa, a flat-screen TV, a washing machine, and a private bathroom with shower and a hairdryer. A fridge, an oven and stovetop are also offered, as well as a kettle.
The holiday home offers a barbecue.Incredible location. Grampians on your doorstep... Perfectly equipped cottages. Space to roam and not in the pockets of the other residents. Kangaroos galore along with the odd emu. Lovely easy going host. Everything we needed including friendly chickens at the door that the kids loved. Just for a moment my husband and I wished we had it to ourselves without the kids!

Surrounded by magnificent mountain ranges and local wildlife, Kookaburra Motor Lodge is located in the centre of Halls Gap, the heart of the Grampians National Park. It is also a 5-minute walk from the visitor information centre, parks, playgrounds, swimming pool, shops and restaurants and cafes.There were kangaroos and kakadus in out background, it was absolutely amazing!

Each of these chalets features timber ceilings, a modern kitchen, polished wooden floors and a spacious living area that leads out to a wide veranda, where you can watch kangaroos and deer wander past.Location and setting absolutely fabulous, Wildlife all around you, waking up each morning and watching the kangaroos, the ducks in the pond and all the birds just added to a fabulous day. Definitely recommend.

DavidYoung coupleA very tranquil place with spacious grounds. The staff were excellent, spending time with us and explaining how things work. Accommodation was cosy and we appreciated the fact that the heater was put on prior to our arrival. Immaculately clean, with a comfortable leather sofa in the lounge room. A very enjoyable stay, will book for longer next time.

Halls Gap Zoo is a country 53-acre (21 ha) zoo located about 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) from Halls Gap, Victoria, Australia. From the zoo you can see Grampians National Park. It is Victoria's largest regional zoo, holding well over 160 native and exotic species.

How Old Is Halls Gap Zoo
Halls Gap Zoo was originally opened in the early 1980s as Wallaroo Wildlife Park. The new owners in 1998 opened the gates as the Halls Gap Wildlife Park & Zoo. It was sold to the current owners in December 2007 and is now operating as the Halls Gap Zoo.[2]
The zoo opened a new nocturnal house in 2008, along with a wetlands area for waterfowl.[2]
Animals[edit]
The Zoo has a mixture of about 160 native and exotic species. The native animals at the zoo include: koalas, kangaroos, emus, wombats, dingoes and wallabies. Exotic animals at the zoo include: American bison, monkeys, deer, giraffesostriches and cheetahs. There are also a variety of reptiles (including saltwater crocodiles) and birds at the zoo.[3]
